Odoo shows every task of a project to everybody who can open the project. This app lets you pick users who only see the tasks assigned to them, inside the projects they can open. The limit is enforced on the server by record rules, so it holds in every view, in exports, in reports and through the API.
Key Features
- Assigned tasks only, per user — Tick "Assigned Tasks Only" on a user, or list the users in the Project settings. Project administrators are never limited.
- Server-side record rules — Lists, kanban, forms, search, grouping, exports, read by id and API calls all return only the allowed tasks. Nothing relies on hidden menus or filters.
- Configurable scope per company — Besides their assigned tasks, limited users can also see the tasks they created, the tasks they follow, the sub-tasks of their tasks or the parent tasks, company by company.
- Chatter, activities, ratings and attachments — Messages, activities, customer ratings and attachments of other tasks stay hidden, and limited users get no e-mail or inbox notification about tasks they cannot open.
- Timesheets and reports — With Timesheets installed, limited users do not see the time logged on other tasks (their own lines stay visible). Tasks Analysis, burndown and timesheet analysis follow the same limit.
- Projects and counters — Projects without any of their tasks can be hidden, task counters only count their tasks, and project updates (with the project profitability) are hidden from them.
- Exceptions where you need them — The project manager of a project sees all its tasks, and a project can be opened to limited users with one switch.
- Multi-company — Each company keeps its own settings; tasks follow the settings of their own company.
