Rent out equipment, machines and tools from Odoo Community. A rental contract reserves the items, by quantity or by serial number, moves them out and back with real Inventory transfers and bills the customer with real invoices, at once or period by period.
This is a Community tool with its own contract document. It is not the Rental app of Odoo Enterprise and does not need it.

- No double booking — A serial number cannot be on two contracts in the same period, and a quantity cannot exceed the units you own.

- Pick-up and return in Inventory — Items go to a rental location and come back through stock transfers; a lost item leaves the inventory.
- Invoices at once or per period — A billing schedule creates the customer invoices in advance or in arrears, by a daily scheduled action.
- Extension, early and partial return, replacement — Every change is priced again and the next invoice bills or credits exactly the difference.
- Deposit, late fee, damage and loss — Deposit invoice and refund, late fee after a grace period, charges from the replacement value.
- Reminders, contract PDF and figures — E-mails before the end and when overdue, a printable contract, a planning calendar, utilisation and revenue.
